CAA Atlantic - Moving Innovation
CAA Atlantic is a mobility company. Whether Members are commuting to work, driving kids to sporting events or travelling abroad on a bucket-list vacation, they’re constantly on the move. CAA Atlantic is here to keep our Members safe and secure no matter how they move.
We recognize technology is changing the mobility landscape at an ever-increasing speed, and CAA is focused on innovation to ensure that we have the right services and benefits to meet the needs of our Members both now and in the future. To do so, we’ve created our own Innovation Lab where we can collaborate, share ideas and test concepts before we bring them to our Members.

Project: Mobile Tire Service
Launch Date: April 2020
Each spring and fall, we remind our Members to keep their vehicles safe by changing their seasonal tires. This year we decided to help with that chore.
In April 2020, CAA Atlantic began offering a Tire Change Service for Members. Members no longer need to worry about lugging the tires to a service station because we come to you.
The service is currently being piloted in Halifax Regional Municipality, but we hope to offer it in additional cities in the near future.
Project: CAA Rewards Assistant
Launch Date: December 2019
CAA Atlantic has one of the best Member Rewards Programs available. The challenge is remembering all the great Rewards Partners we have.
CAA Atlantic developed an innovative browser plugin to allow Members to easily recognize opportunities to save money while shopping online.
Event: CAA Hackathon
Launch Date: November 2019
At CAA Atlantic we know that we can’t solve all mobility-related challenges, so we’re looking for your help! On Nov. 29, 2019, we hosted our first ever Hackathon in Halifax*. The challenge topic was “Solving Mobility issues for Atlantic Canadians.” The event was a great success, and we look forward to hosting another Hackathon in 2020.
* Hackathon is an event, typically lasting several days, in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative problem solving
"Going My Way"
Best Overall Submission. A carpooling service matching like-minded drivers and passengers to reduce single commuter vehicles on the road.
Best Business Case. A tire subscription service offering tiered service levels and seasonal tire changes with no upfront cost beyond Membership.
Best Hardware/Software. An active transportation application allowing users to access and report on route conditions and best practices.
Project: HotSpot Partnership
Launch Date: November 2019
In 2019, CAA Atlantic and Hotspot expanded our partnership to permit CAA Premier Members to access to HotSpot for FREE!
HotSpot was also a major sponsor of the CAA Hackathon in November. We continue to collaborate with HotSpot and look forward to new and exciting opportunities in the future.

Follow your Roadside Assistance call with CAA's Service Tracker™. You can track your driver's location on an interactive map, see estimated time of arrival, and closely follow the status of your call while you wait.
