CAA Atlantic appoints new President & CEO

March 22, 2021 – Saint John, N.B. – CAA Atlantic’s board of directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Dalley to President & Chief Executive Officer, effective April 19, 2021. 

Dalley spent almost 20 years in the utility sector in customer service, safety, environmental services, human resources and corporate communications.  She also provided vision and leadership around diversity and sustainability. She was among more than 80 applicants.  

"We had several highly qualified and impressive candidates, but Dawn’s leadership style, energy, and strategic vision really set her apart," said Peter Greenwood, Chair of the CAA Atlantic Board. "We’re delighted to have someone of her caliber taking the helm at CAA Atlantic." 

The new CEO received her MBA from Royal Roads University in British Columbia and her Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax. Dalley has held several senior positions during her career, most recently as Vice President, Corporate and Customer Service at Newfoundland & Labrador Hydro. Previously, Dalley held a variety of executive roles at the provincial Crown corporation, including Vice President, Corporate Services & Regulatory Affairs.  She’s also an active community member and sits on the Boards of the St. John’s Status of Women/Women’s Centre, Ronald McDonald House NL, as well as the Canada Revenue Agency Board of Management. She has her ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Dalley replaces Steve McCall, who served as president & CEO of CAA Atlantic for 28 years. The board of directors and all CAA Atlantic staff thank him for his leadership and dedication.

He directed industry-leading Membership growth and service levels, while achieving outstanding top and bottom-line growth, and building an exceptional team at CAA Atlantic.”
